First things first, I never really "digitally painted" up until this point, always used traditional mediums. All of these assignments were done with no line drawing. So we started off with just basic black and white value. The whole point was to create depth and a light source without color. Roughly 1 hour each.
After learning the basics, we have an assignment to redesign a fair tale of our choice. I choose Hansel and Gredel. We first had to do multiple thumbnails so we can take 3 of them further. 15 min 45 min each. Had trouble with compositions in the beginning but later started getting the hang out it.
Here is the final product for our class, spent around 1 hour on the top one and 3 on the bottom. After the thumbnail stage.
Over all I learned alot and i encourage everyone to go and take these classes.
